What Does CALMC Do?

Columbus Area Labor-Management Committee is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the development of high-performance organizations through joint participation of labor and management.

Since its founding in 1986, CALMC has worked with many private and public sector companies and organization and their unions to help them achieve their goals.

Since CALMC receives funding from the State of Ohio Department of Development, your organization receives high quality, progressive consultation and cooperative programming at a very affordable rate.

With support from CALMC, your company will become a high-performance workplace. Labor-management cooperation is necessary for an efficient work environment that benefits organizations, unions, employees, customers, and communities. Your company can learn to rely on the innovation, creativity, knowledge, and skills of everyone to achieve its goals. CALMC specializes in helping both labor and management realize that commitment and hard work in a workplace will benefit both management and union.

CALMC also provides public seminars designed to introduce topics related to high performance workplaces. We also provide neutral facilitation for teams or committees.

We also provide worker adjustment assistance to business and organizations, through the formation of worker adjustment committees. These joint labor-management teams help develop specific plans to assist workers and families affected by downsizing.
