SAFETY ALWAYS... ..

A proven safety committee process involving employees, supervisors, and managers to create a safe work environment guided by the staff of Columbus Area Labor-Management Committee. CALMC has helped companies achieve dramatic and lasting improvements in the safety of their workplace, resulting in significant cost savings.

Safety Always Is not a “canned approach”. CALMC will work with you to help identify your specific needs and specifically design a process for you. The people within your organization and their knowledge of your work process will help make your workplace safer.

How Is  Safety Always Implemented ?

1 CALMC will coordinate a meeting of workforce, supervisors, and management representatives, or an already established safety committee to discuss expectations and the steps of the process.

2. CALMC will conduct an organizational safety assessment which will gather data about the current safety culture and provide a benchmark for future assessments.  This will also demonstrate commitment to workplace safety and will provide direction for the safety committee .

3. Train a new or existing safety committee made up of representatives from all areas of the organization on problem solving and  communication tools as well as  other necessary tasks needed to successfully implement the Safety Always process.

4. Provide facilitation for the safety committee to help them meet their objectives and utilize tools learned during training. 

5. Follow up Assessment 12-18 months from the first assessment to measure the success of the process.
